HOTEL DES ARTISTES EXPANDS FOR HIGH SEASON

Hosts Area’s First Art Walk, debuts a new CRATE Interiors Gallery and a Full Service Spa.

Punta de Mita, Mexico (January 2010): Hotel des Artistes, the leading surf destination condo hotel in Punta de Mita, is already fully occupied for high season. This month the 12 room beachfront property co-hosts the area’s first Art Walk, expands its on-property amenities with a full service spa and welcomes the CRATE Interiors Gallery to its lobby.

Hotel des Artistes is located directly outside the gates of Punta Mita, home to The Four Seasons and St Regis Hotel. The property is situated on a pristine strip of beach within the Anclote village, famous for year-round surf lessons, fresh fish stalls and water sports. The hotel is home to the renown Café des Artistes restaurant operated by Thierry Blouet and an art gallery with Mexican painter Alejandro Mondria in residence.

Home décor brand CRATE Interiors will provide onsite furnishings solutions to area residents and create a destination for lifestyle events throughout high season. The newly launched full service spa service is managed by practitioners trained at The St Regis in the Remede product range.

Alejandro Mondria was Born in Mexico City, studied at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design and at eighteen, received a one-year grant for independent studies at Instituto Plaza Cenzi in Rome. His work has been featured in multiple galleries and museum exhibits throughout Mexico the US and Europe Mondria has the distinct honor of representing Mexico’s art scene in South Africa during Fifa’s World Cup in 2010.

SeaVees releases Pantone White to celebrate Summer Solstice.

Santa Barbara, California. - It all begins with white. SeaVees, Purveyors of California Casual, celebrates the foundation of color with the introduction of the 09/63 SeaVees Pantone White. A collaborative effort between SeaVees and color authority Pantone, this limited edition style honors the release of the first PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM in September 1963.  Pantone White is the basis for all 587 colors found in the original PMS guide.

True to their inspiration, each SeaVees style is named to recognize an important date in California-cool history. The 09/63, pursuant to an exclusive agreement, marks the first time in their 45 year history Pantone has allowed an external design team to utilize their hallowed archives.
